Default Question about the speakers 2001 Mustang vert

So i was @ best buy today and i told the guy their in the car audio section that the speaker on the passenger side is blown and he said that if i replace any of those i would need to do a bypass it sounded kinda weird to me i though if you replace just the front speakers it was just basically plug and play the car is a mustang gt 2001 convertible also what size are they for the doors are they 6x9?'s

They are both (front and back) 6x8. and you dont need anything to replace them. Just take off the door and replace the speaker. I would do it yourself, its really easy. It might take an inexperienced person an hour or so with the right tools and "How to the remove the door" instructions
