Default 2006 rear speaker replace

Anyone installed rear speakers w/baffle? Do the baffles fit under the grille without trimming ?

Thanks

what kind of speakers? then coup or covertable? mine is a 06 coup and the speakers i put in are coaxial alpine 5x7's. the little plastic baffle isnt needed at all, the plastic grille has plenty of clearance.component speakers will need some work and knowhow on the install to put back there.i dont know about the convertable set-up though.

Speakers are Polk Audio 5 X 7 Coax. Body is Coupe. the baffles are the foam ones that encloses the underside of the speaker to keep dust out. Supposed to help with the Bass response but I guess it does that by keeping some of the sound out of the trunk space.
Thanks for the reply!

those just help with mid-bass, not really that great for true bass, but they will hit harder than the stockers. for the back screws by the window, use a 1/4 ratchet with a 1/4 inch shallow socket and a phillips bit, itll make it a whole lot easier to put them in. great day project. just be careful with the rear side panels by the windows, the mid-panel mounts tend to break if you force them, be patient. i broke them both on mine...whoops... good luck and have fun, their worth it.
