Default 2006 Mustang, Replacin Shaker 1000 with avic-f90bt

I am lookin for help replacing my Shaker 1000 HU with an avic-f90bt (or 70bt). I am admittedly a noob and this is the first modification to my 2006 mustang that I have attempted.

Metra says I need one harness and Crutchfield says I need another. I would trust Crutch but the difference in cost is about 110 bucks and I have seen other posts that say you don't need the Crutch harness. I know others on the forum have done it from my searches but I need specifics as to which harness and such.

I would just get the HU from Crutch and go for it with their mastersheets but I can get a better unit from Amazon (90bt vs 700bt) so much cheaper.

Thanks in advance!

I would rather use a harness if possible as I don't want to cut and paste the wires. I would likely replace the OEM system if I sell the car.

I was wondering what harness anyone else has used to install this system.

Thanks,

I installed the avic z-3 in my 2006 mustang and used the harness from crutchfield and it made it very easy. I did have the unit in and out several times but after I installed all the goodies I wanted I soldered and shrink wrapped all of them and I am very pleased with the results.
