Default DEI Shock sensor

Hello. Got a strange one here, RSX3.5 alarm. shock sensor has been a mite touchy lately, I have been trying to adjust,
NOW READ CARFULLY:
Even though the adjustment knob and the indicator light are behaving properly, turn one way sensitivity goes up light confirms, go the other way sensitivity goes down, light confirms, but it doesn't effect the result, light kick to the front tire, alarm goes off. No difference high or low setting.
NOW THE WIERD PART:
Unplugged module, system still senses shock and goes into alarm. (Yes its the correct module, DEI 504C, looked it up) Installer says no internal shock sensor in brain. As I wasn't impressed with the installer before, it took an install + 3 visits for them to get it working correctly the first time, I hesitate to take it back.
Any Ideas?
Thanks--
AL

You must have missed the part where I said:
"Unplugged module, system still senses shock and goes into alarm."
Anyway, as I was thinking about this a little more, I'm thinking a dirty hood pin may act like a shock sensor in a way, barely making contact and intermittantly losing contact with the vibration. I'll try that this weekend.
PS: I was trying to be nice when I said:
"I wasn't impressed with the installer before"
What I ment to say is they were/ are $#!%& idiots.

OK, no shock sensor installed, still alarms with a kick to the tire. removed the prox sensor, reinstalled the shock sensor, adjustment works and adjusts properly. aparently prox acting like a second shock. I'll monitor it this weekend before i put the prox back in, see what happens.
Thanks--
Al

Shock sensor hooked up, prox sensor disconnected, went all weekend, no false alarms. It appears that the prox sensor was acting like a shock sensor. Try a new one of those this week.
