Hello all,
When I special ordered my 2008 GT & inquired about the compatibility of the Shaker 1000 stereo with the "Mobile Ease" factory bluetooth system I was told that it must be compatible since it let them input both on the order sheet with no issue. I had questioned it prior to ordering due to the fact that the Mobile Ease description indicated that it was "not compatible with all audio applications - check your dealer for details". Again, I was told since it accepted the combination in the computer it must be compatible. Well, unfortunately, it has never worked from the day the car was delivered & now I'd like to resolve the issue once & for all.
I've searched the forums & can't seem to find an answer to the question. Does anybody here have the Shaker 1000 with "Mobile Ease" factory bluetooth? An problems? Mine will pair up with the phone & when I tell it to dial a number it does, but I cannot hear either the dial tone, the ringing, nor the person on the other end when they answer. I thought I saw somewhere someone mention that it may have to do with the subs in the trunk & that there may be a wiring harness of some sort that will solve the problem(?).
Thought I'd check on here before I let the dealership tear apart my precious interior. I just think it's weird that Ford would allow an option combination that's not compatible.
