Default 2005 Mustang stereo upgrade! Any suggestions?

Hey everyone,

Some time in the next several months I'd like to upgrade my stereo system. I have an '05 V6 Convertible with a Shaker 500 System. I've replaced the stock head unit with a Pioneer AVIC-F700BT. It's really nice and increases the sound by a large margin, almost providing what sounds like too much power for the speakers. Obviously nothing is wrong with the setup - I just feel like I'm not using the head unit to it's full potential and would like to simply upgrade. I plan on going back to the professionals that installed my head unit and seeing what they have to say for sound upgrade, but figured I'd get your opinions first.

So, my questions to you are: For my six speakers in the car, what do you recommend? For a woofer or two to put in my trunk, what do you recommend? Do you feel that Tweeters are necessary? If so, what do you recommend? Any recommendations for amplifiers?

I would prefer to stick with Pioneer, but it's not 100% mandatory.

All replies are appreciated!

Thanks,
Gotadime

Go with some good pioneer co-ax speakers and they will have tweeters with them. As for a Sub, pioneer doesn't do good with subs. Personally I believe that if you get Kicker, JL, or Rockford you are just paying for the name and there are much better subs out there. Digital Designs are amazing. MA audio is what i have, they are great subs. Audiobahn is also really good. Diamond are pricey but pretty good. And MTX makes good subs. Don't let people at a stereo place try to sell you stuff because they will pitch whatever they have so they make money.

This is what I have done so far. http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...er-1700-a.html I will probably upgrade everything at some point, but I am very happy with how it sounds now.
