Default 1999 Mustang PATS sensor

I HAVE A 99 MUSTANG WITH PATS SENSOR IN. I BELIEVE THAT MOST PROBLEMS FOR NOT STARTING ARE COMING FROM THE TRANSPONDER. IT IS LOCATED BEHIND YOUR IGNITION KEY. I HAD ALL OF THE PROBLEMS WITH IT NOT STARTING AND GETTING STRANDED. WHATS HAPPENING, IS THE HARNESS FOR THE TRANSPONDER WAS GETING LOOSE. FINALLY IT PULLED IT SELF COMPLETELY OUT. TOTALLY DISCONNECTED. I WENT TO FORD AND PURCHASED A NEW TRANSPONDER WITH THE HARNESS CONNECTED. I REMOVED BOTTOM OF STEERING COLUMN AND THE BRACING UNDER THE DASH. YOU WILL SEE THE LITTLE HARNESS CONNECTED UNDER THE IGNITION SWITCH. UNPLUG IT FROM TRANSPONDER AND FOLLOW IT TO HARNESS UNDER DASH AND DISCONNECT. DISCONNECT THE HARNESS FROM NEW TRANSPONDER AND REINSTALL. ONCE PLUGGED BACK IN, YOUR CAR WILL NOT HAVE THE ANTI-THEFT FLASHING ANYMORE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS IN REGARDS TO YOUR PATS PROBLEM, E-MAIL ME @ rocknrogers37@hotmail.com
