Default need Help deciding on aftermarket radio

What would be a decent aftermarket radio to match up to a four channel amp. I had a pioneer 6800,but i sold it to my friend. I wanted to upgrade to something higher up. I have a 4 channel eclipse amp, and gonna buy a mono block for subs eventually. I really want a deck that can disable its own eq and let my amp take care of my highs and mids. Any suggestions? also what are some good after market 6/8's? I'm looking to spend 200 bucks on the radio and 100 bucks for each pair of 6/8's This is all for a 2007 gt mustang.

btw How do u get to the rear deck speakers?

So many choices, I changed mine over to an Alpine and am quite happy with it. I am going to install an amp once this weather breaks.
I would check out crutchfields site for some suggestions.
As far as the rear deck speakers, ask AC/DC fan she has pictures somewhere of changing them out. It's not pretty, you have to do quite a bit of tearing apart the back seat area because there is no longer a speaker grill accessable from the top like the 05-06 ones.

I may still have Crutchfield's install sheet for the '08 rear speakers at home. I don't seem to have a .pdf file of it here at work.

Changing the rear speakers is the THE most ridiculous thing I've ever seen or done. You basically have to remove the entire rear of the car! Absolutely NOT user friendly.

I'll look for the install sheet. Call me off if you don't need it.

If I had to go through that much trouble, I would have just cut out the carpeting around the speaker and slap a grill on it.
Don't you have some pictures somewhere?

That is just crazy. To think it only took about 10 minutes to get mine out.

I know!!
I pulled the headunit back out of my '06 last night to add a Bluetooth adapter, sooooooooo much easier than getting to the headunit in the '08! I don't understand why Ford would go backward in the "progressive" department.

Get this -- when we changed out the headunit in the '08, we realized that there are no clips holding on the piece of trim on the left side of my console (apparently they were just never put on). All three of them are there as they should be on the right side piece of trim. I called the dealership to order the clips -- they don't sell just the clips, I'd have to replace the entire piece of trim! I'm sure you can imagine my response to that. It's apparently stayed on all this time without the clips so I guess it will continue to do so!!
(Sorry original poster - didn't mean to highjack.)
