Default Installing DNX8120 with Shaker 1000

Hey guys

I am about to install the Kenwood DNX8120 with my shaker 1000 speakers..
I have opened up and taken out the HU, and written down each color on wires and looked them up.. but the colors does not correspond with the colors from the DNX8120 unit at all.

If anyone has done this before, please let me know.. because i will most likely need some guiding through this process!

Take a look at this, the colors are up to the manuf. There is no standard.
Just match the signals. You may be able to find a harness for it too.

Crutchfield.com should have a harness for that and if im not mistaken the stock head unit uses 2.5volts to trigger the amps on and the aftermarket ones use 5volts. That can cause a popping noise.

The stock ones use 5v, the aftermakets use 12v. You can wire up a 5volt regulator if you want to cut down on the popping.

I have the volt regulator, and know that its supposed to go on the "blue/white" wire.. but in my wiring there is no blue/white wire that goes to the subs, its most likely a orange/yellow and a red..

Yeah, i have a metra harness.. but the thing is that many of the wires i am looking for is not listed on that list.. or maybe they are listed as something else..

I am now at first looking for the light dimmer, and the sub wires.. are the subs on the J3? Pin #1 and #2? But that is only 2..
As far as i know it should at least be 4 wires for the 2 subs i have in my front doors, and then at least 2 wires for the sub box i have in the trunk...

To inform you a bit better i think i should show you the wiring diagram i have from kenwood too.

If anyone could help me compare the wiring from kenwood with the one of my shaker i would highly appreciate it..
