Default After Market sound systems

I have a question for all. (thanks 232-K7) I have the shaker 500 system in my 2008 Coupe, and of course you have to purchase the bluetooth module seperately , and at the tune of 600. plus install, I have found by searching that I can purchase an after market system with bluetooth, and many other options for the same price and less. I am going to change it out, but I was just wondering what is the majority consenses of a system that is quality but inexpensive? I am willing to spend up to 300.00 plus the install. any suggestions or ideas ? thanks

The majority of the time your paying for the name "Ford" when it comes to aftermarket toys. While I may not know a whole lot about that particular part, I would say that as long as you get it installed by a place like Best Buy (Lifetime Guarantee on install is well worth it) and you buy a mid tier item (Easy to tell, there's cheap, expensive, and somewhere in the middle) then your usually safe. At least those are the rules I use with car audio and radar, I would think bluetooth would be the same principle.

The one side effect you may find though is that it may not be "As compatible" so you may not get the same clarity (assuming the ford one is perfect)

I hate factory systems and would much rather spend my money on a new system. If you do decide to upgrade the stereo make sure the deck you choose actually includes the bluetooth. Alpine and some other brands may list bluetooth as a feature but you have to buy a separate bluetooth module that can cost about another $100. I have installed and owned several brands, Alpine is my #1 choice. Alpines produce the best sound and most include built in high pass filters (crossover) that can be used to remove the bass sent to your door&rear speakers if you choose to add a subwoofer. You can buy a base model Alpine for about $150($120 on sale) at Best Buy and add bluetooth for about $100 more.
