Default bad cd player.?

i bought a new Alpine cd player about a year ago with some new speakers and all was good until just recently when i would turn up the radio for freeway noise when i noticed the high pitched noises like guitar solos would cut the sound in and out like when a radio station fades in and out. I replaced the speakers and its still the same. Does this sound like a bad radio or something else? Im no expert on this subject

Were the speakers matched with the Head Unit? It sounds like you killed the outputs in the head unit. But if you have a preamp out, you can add an external amp to power the speakers.

I got them installed at the same time. All i know is that when i turn up the volume it starts cutting in and out really quick whenever a high pitch noise happens. If the volume is lower, its fine. Like i said ive had it for almost a year and no problems till last week
