Ok I have looked in the manual and tried everything as in putting CD's in with text for songs on it and MP3 CD's and nothing will work on the button that says 'TEXT' I think it is 6 on your stock stereo what is that button for.... The second button is the 'AUX' is this for if I install a aux port on the stereo or am I just blind and can't see my little headphone jack input they are making me so mad that I can't figure it out I know it is dumb but I really am confused on this I have installed so many after market sound equipment on my cars and this is the first time I am completely lost.

Post up a pic or two of what your talking about exactly and what brand of stereo system you have

Aux is for the 1/8th in jack inside the console.

Looks like you have a 2005, and the 2005's didn't come with an AUX input (just that nice little useless button!)

I'm in the same boat!

Not sure about the text button, though.

Here is the image of a radio and what I am talking about is the button on the bottom right that says '6 TEXT' this is not my radio though this is some picture that had the button on it from google

So does anyone know what the 6 TEXT Button on the stock stereo is for?? I only figured out that the AUX is useless for now

Since you have 2005 as mentioned the AUX is useless in your case, 06 or 07+ came with Aux.
And i never used the text button but those only works when your playing a music

The text button is for use when you are using a media file that has text stored to identify the file. Some mp3 formats can store the song name and some other information concerning the song. The text button allows you to read the information.

You hit it right on the button. That AUX button isn't actually useless if you have the right hookup for it. Mossmustang.com has an iPod hookup that allows you to control your iPod with the stock radio. I'm hoping that to be my next mod. There's even another place called installer.com that has hookups to make your AUX button work.

Ok so if I create a MP3 CD and make sure I have it so it adds the text information for songs it should work?? and thanks for the website I will order the iPod kit soon I was actually looking at that this weekend. I think I am actually going to get the iDrive & play because it comes with a screen and a little iPod controller that you can get mounted anywhere in the car
