Is there any way to make an iPod work with the aux jack with an aftermarket nav/headunit that replaces the aux button?
Dont the ipods just plug and play with most head units these days?If there's an aux jack, you should be able to buy a cord and plug it into the headphone jack of the ipod/aux jack on the radio and be good to go. That's how I play my ipod in my Tahoe.

You just need to buy an auxiliary cable, you connect it into your aftermarket head unit auxilary jack, and then connect it into your ipod headphone jack, and your set...they sell them at any electronics retailer. i got mine at kmart for like $10

I have a cable, but when I plug it in, nothing happens. My headunit gives me the options AM, FM, CD, DVD, Sirius, VTR, and MP3, but when I hit mp3 it simply says "no disc inserted." What is VTR?
