On my 1990, The passenger rear speaker stopped working. I first switched out my radio and that didn't cure the problem. Next i swapped the left and right rear speakers and the right rear speaker worked on the left side. but still nothing on the right. Could my amp be messed up on one channel? And does anyone know where the amp is located?

It's probably just a faulty speaker, the solder may have came loose on the voice coil. Stick in another speaker if you have one and you should be set to go.

Sounds like a break in the wire somewhere. Use a multimeter and set it to the beep function. Then just test sections of the wire to see if there is continuity throughout the wiring to the speaker.The cheap factory amp is behind the stereo on my car so your's is probably similar providing you still have the factory set up.

Oh I'm sorry I read the post wrong. Yeah I would say check your wiring first then go deeper into the system.
