Default How thick should a sub box be????

I'm getting a custom box for my mustang and the people that are going to be making it said that they are going to use 3/4'' MDF. Is that good because I heard that 1" is better. If anyone knows please help me, thanks.

I make all my sub boxes using 3/4" MDF 1" is going to be hard to find. 3/4" will be fine.
