2007 mustang with shaker 500

we just purchased a used 2007 mustang. it has the shaker 500 stereo i found the aux input in the center console and pluged my ipod in with the cord and got a song playing but when i pushed aux on the radio it says no aux input is there something that i need to program on the radio to get it to work. here is the link to the window sticker. any help would be apreciated. we didn't get a owners manual with it

i did this wrong and posted this question in 2005+ talk too. so if any mod wants to delete the one in the other forum please do so sorry for double posting

Have you tried some other audio device in the aux jack? I think the aux jack is a 3 part stereo jack. Not sure what your ipod plug is.
