Default '86 t-top hatchback door speaker install ?'s

I'm trying to install 6.5" speakers in the door panels of my '86 GT T-Top hatchback, but obviously there were never speakers in the doors from the factory. I'm not sure exactly where I should mount them and what, if any, modifications I'll need to make. does anyone know whats necessary to do this?

Back away! Put down the cutter! Don't cut up the doors on a 23 year old car! Please!

Put the speakers in the doors of your little brothers Sentra. You can put them ANYWHERE, in that car.

I had a 86 GT, and pulling those panels off is a royal pain. It uses thin wood that the vinyl panels mount to that breaks easily. They are attached by those one way fasteners around the edges that if you are not careful, they will pull right through that wood. You need to use one of those "fork" type removers.
