Maybe I'm deaf, but when I turn on the Shaker 1000 system.....I can't tell any difference in volume of the sound....the quality of sound is good...but I thought that there was suppose to be an increase in the volume as well..... Can anybody explain this system to me.....

What are you comparing it to? Watts isn't all about volume.

IMHO, the Shaker 1000 isn't worth the premium that Ford charges for it. The Shaker 500, on the other hand, IS worth it for those sealed door pods where the 8" subwoofers go. As soon as I finish working on my daily driver, I am going to focus on installing some Mach5 Audio MLI-65s in place of the 8" subwoofers on a full active sound system

Turn the treble and bass all the way up and make sure the shaker is on. That's should make it very loud.

I turned my Shaker 1000 up next to my cousings 500 and the difference was tremendous in both quality and volume. There really was no comparison and I have to say that for a stock stereo is very loud, besides the fact the windows and the truck "shake" quite a bit. Check your options make sure your shaker is on. The trunk and back window should shake considerably around half of the volume capacity.
