hey guys, i just finally got out the 2 subs in the back from my shaker 1000 system, and im looking for tips in installing a system in a convertible. i never put a system in the convertible before, i got a 12 inch sub right now, and rattles like an SOB when i get it loud enough to fill in the bass. i left the front "subs" in the doors due to the fact i cant replace them. ive been looking at dynamat, but i dont think it will fix the problem, because when the sub hits, and either A. i hold the trunk lid down, or B. i pull the lid up, almost 85% of the rattle goes away. i dont think theres any possible way i can make it a tight fit so it doesnt rattle, so any tips would be good. ive installed systems on coupes before, but without having the metal roof there to capture sound, i got nothin, please help, all help appreciated.

I would buy the Dynamat for it. My old car was a convertible. I had a pair of 10s in it and it rattled really bad. When I upgraded to a W7, I bought the dynamat extreme trunk kit. The trunk didn't rattle at all. If it's installed right, the convertible shouldn't affect it at all.

so heres another question, can i use the stock box and just use new wires and amps?
