I have a 2002 mustang GT w/ a mach 460 system. i took it to best buy and they said my woofer is blown in my door. the speaker area near the feet. what is a woofer? subwoofer? if so he said not to replace it w/ aftermarket bc he has seen aftermarket freak out the mach system. he said that the OEM part would be 30-40$ anyone tell me what i blew, and where is a good place to find OEM speaker parts like mine that was blown.

if it is in the door it problely not a sub the front speakers are more than likely componet speakers what that is is the tweeters are not in the woofer put placed in a better position the benifit of having a componet set up is that it comes with a crossover and the woofer can produce just the bass and the tweeter can do just the highs the diffrence in a subwoofer and a woofer is that the sub produces the deeper bass the boom if you will and a woofer will produce the midrange bass not the boom hope this helps
