Not trying to be a dick bro, but I have gone through more money on sound systems than I have in cars and probably parts too. I use to try to change up every once in a while to get a different sound. This is what I ended up with and I had the van setup for atleast 3 years with no problems besides blowing 80amp fuses every month or so cause I REALLY get on the clean bass. I had the car setup since I got the car. I don't need to change it ever. But if I do it'll be 2 POWERBASS 10" with another 400.1 amp.

i am very glad you like to change it up too but im saying orions are caca subs. take it or leave it. they use off the shelf chinese parts. they dont have alot of displacement or even any throw to them. how much of the stuff is quality equipment? ive prob ran through more stuff in the past year or so than you have in the last 4-5 years. when you actually learn what makes a driver good then you can start saying stuff to me. until then just please stay quite.
leme bump this for a second since i havnt had a chance to defend my setup.
i have a CONVERTIBLE. not a notch. you have over twice the trunkspace i do. my box takes up what little trunk i have and i guaranteeeeeeeeeee you. im knocin way harder than you are.
my whole trunk is dynamatted..... i bet you i get way more db than you even being sealed.
and to the dumbass who said ported boxes are louder your retarded lol..... ports allow the bass to hit hardest at certain frequencys, it has nothing to do with loudness. but of course if you build your box exactly to manufacturers specs your gona be shittin in the first place...
just wait till i make a new youtube video after i replace the speakers ive blown out in my cdabin hahahah.... volume on 53 with +3 bass will do that

ok you really trying to call me out with your pos system? dude you have a single layer of what looks like fatmat and im running a convertible too you fk nut. how is ported not louder than sealed are you really retarded but with your ghetto system im guessing so.
how do you know what you are hitting? did you ever model your pos infinity ref series on any programs? you have a fkn sealed box with horrible voltage dips. if you think you are louder than me you are just fooling yourself kid.
my whole trunk has 2-3 layers depending on certain spots through out it.
dude you are truely one of those ignorant stereo guys. you do not know **** which is apparent from this post. i laugh at people like you who think you know anything but truely dont.
ignorance is bliss and good night
you claiming to know more than me is just ignorance in itself. you dont kno me homie as weel as i dont know you. ported boxes dont add db!!!!! just like stickers dont add hp
and yes its fatmat. same exact **** as dynamat it just emits a tarlike smell. and where the hell is ontario california anyways???? im from a northern california where slap is a must......
and for the record who gives a flying **** what the setup looks like this aint a carshow!!! its a mustang fourm.
its about how the system sounds not how it looks.
not everyone gets money from mom, sorry to have you face this harsh reality.
my system was all done by me..... not hooked up at some car audio shop for 4328912578037031478 dollars haha. box is custom made from 3/4 mdf not once screw or nail in that *****.... silicone sealed. and everyone knows... subs are all going to hit hard thats what there designed for... bass. its the box its in is what really sets it off. so you can floss your little gayboy setup talking about how much money you put into it and blah blah just to let you know.....
about 400 dollars gets you what i have. wiring kit, deck, amp, subs, cap

ok first off ported is louder than sealed off of same power fyi why don't they run sealed in enclosures in db db drag or any other competitions unless they have a ungodly amount of cone area? fatmat is a asphalt based deadener not butly so not the same thing.
i work for everything i have and will have kid. and i do all my own work including making the subwoofer and making the enclosure. also not every sub is designed to hit hard. some are more designed to reproduce the bass response others cant
im not flossing **** you came in here acting like you know every thing and you don't. please go read up or something because what you are stating is just funny. also i dont recall stating what amount ive put into my setup? also fwiw you dont need the cap its adding more resistance to your current draw
ive been hearing about the big 3 just too lazy to google it and research.
and the voltage dips pretty much stopped. i turned down the gain on my amp because it hits too hard my cabin speaks are drowned the fukk out. i like my music real loud ive found out the hard way by blowing my 5x7's and 2 pairs of tweeters
im going to make a video later on today

still should do it to be on the safe side. i plan on doing it on my brothers 5.0 if you want i can take pics
Ported boxes are for certain subs and open area bass. My 05' Town&Country should have a ported box in it. The ported hole makes the inside of the vehicle the box itself. Don't know if my AUDIOBAHN 1200Q's will do good in a ported box though. It hits harder when I open the rear vent windows though.

majority of subs perform better in ported enclosures and your bahns would love a properly built box.
