Work that needs to be done: fix leaking exhaust, fix idling issues, and fix the car from running so rich.
you can have a professional off criagslist build you a box and you can buy some brand new subs that are rated way higher than those shitty orions. 600 watts can barely push 1 10 to its true potential. you definately want to stick with trusted names. look at my sig and see what im running youll see what im talkin about.
mtx and infinity is no joke when matched up! i slap harder than any mustang in austin guaranteed

Is your car a 95 also because mine is and i was wondering how much trunk space u have in it ? and is your spare tire still in the trunk ? i am actually mising all my trunk carpet to but the spares still in it. and whats a good site to buy your stuff u have from ? cause i might get like what u got exactly, the guy at the shop said that 12's wouldnt fit in my trunk even if i tried. and should i just get a professional off craigslist to do it instead ?

i agree with what you say but your equipment isn't really anything to brag about. and depending on the driver and its given parameters you can easily push a 10" off 600rms hell i have a 18" i built that 600rms would be a tad much.
op if you really want to talk about car audio
go to this site register up and just search. i have a 96 stang and u could easily get two 12s sealed up. i personally would do 1 12" in a slot ported box sub up port back should be louder than 2 12s sealed.
caraudioclassifieds.org
that is the site check it out. i also have some box designs if you need them. i have the same trunk as you. but my designs are either for single 10s or 12s.
I agree with tc3k101, I would rather go with a single 12" woofers on a slot ported box as opposed to two 10" or 12" on a sealed box. It sounds much better and the base is deeper.
x3 on recommending a single 12'' PROPERLY ported subwoofer OVER a pair of 10s or 12s sealed. By properly ported, I mean build the enclosure to your subwoofer's specs as well as to your vehicle's specs versus going with a pre-fab fart box solution from Worst Buy.

I have to defend the ORION for a minute. In my 93' mustang I have 2 10" ORION COBALT subs and 1 POWERBASS 400.1 amp plus 6 inside speakers and 2 tweeters. In my 05' Town & Country I have 2 12" AUDIOBAHN 1200q compitition subs and 1 MATTS class D competition amp plus factory inside speakers. They are both excellent sounding and hard hitting. I enjoy them both.
It's all about matching your system with the speakers and using the right wattage. My MATTS is a solid 2000w pushing 2 woofers that add up to 1400w. (700w a piece) I can't turn the gain up to much on this setup, but it pounds.
The POWERBASS 400.1 is a solid 400w pushing 2 woofers that add up to 400w. (200w a piece) I can turn it all up and it all sounds good and YOU CAN HEAR ME COMING, no distorting. See where i'm going with this. Match the wattage of the amp with the total # of woofers being used on the amp and you'll be ok.
I have friends beating up 15" EXCURSIONS with PROFILE amps.

NO! This is not a good deal. The amp in my 93' was $100 new, the subs were $100 new and the box to fit in the tiny trunk was $40. My setup was $240 + time and gas. You can find a new/good/cheap system with some time and searching. Look online and order if you have to. That price is retarded. I hope you didn't buy it already.
They might not have the BIG BIG magnet on them for competition, And they might not be in the fancy sound shops but I guarantee it hits more than you think. Definitely harder than it looks. I'll just have to post a video of it hitting but you can really hear and feel it if you were in the car yourself.

no they are joke subwoofers. having a big magnet isnt everything to do with a subwoofer and judge it by. its also the soft parts used. im telling you right now they are joke subs. ive played with them they are cheesy and not worth what brick and motor shops sell them for. and a video showing how bad you can rattle your car has no meaning to it either.
exactly people think the loudest system is the best to me its about loudness at high power wattage and the cleanness of the actual bass..... all i listen to is rap and funk music and my **** is perfect for exactly that. infinity is no joke some of the best subs ive ever heard...... bass is so clean and loud. and my amp is just beat 3 40amp fuses in it lol im not playing around

This is perfect, clean and small enough for a notchback. $200, you can't beat that. And like I said, 2 clean speakers in dash, 2 clean door speakers, 2 clean speakers in the back above the arm rests and 2 clean speakers in the back by the brake light. All Pioneer, added to this setup with a sony head unit. Kid, you have no clue. It's all about compatibility. Want me to say it again? COMPATIBILITY. If it's not compatible, it'll sound like garbage.
This is my setup in the 05' Town&Country. It needs to be bigger for the airspace in the van. But I got this matching up nicely with the factory speakers, 2 after market tweeters and another sony head unit. This could be heard from a block away with the windows down.
Both vehicles sound systems are crisp, clear, clean and loud. I wouldn't have it any other way. I use to set up stages for concerts, my music has to be loud. All that's played is hard hitting Rap and Hip-Hop. 3-6 Mafia, Eminem, Ludacris, Lil Wayne, T.I., Gorilla Zoe, Etc. I don't have to mess with the settings when I change cd's either besides + or -1 for the sub volume. It's all good. So what do we do now people? Make sure it's all what? COMPATIBLE. Yes! Have a nice day.
