Question Low sound w/ new Radio ...

I replaced the stock radio casett in my 89 Gt with an after market radio Cd player(name brand escapes me)
At 1st there was no sound at all .....
I could get the speakers to work right of the radio but they would not play through the car harness....???????????

I called the tech line on the harness adaptor box and thay gave me a part # for a little blue box to put inline with the harness now I have sound but I have to turn it way up to hear faint sound

Any advise would be helpfull I think it has somthing to do with the factory Amp.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????

Hey never mind
I read a little further and found my problem....
I took out the blue box and looked further up in the dash behind the heat/ac controls and found another set of connections...
I connected the radio (JVC by the way) up there and bypassed the factory amp. & much better sound and volume controls

This web site is so helpfull

THANKS!!!

Hook them up to an after market amp and you will notice a huge difference in loudness and quality. Joe
