Default 2005 Mustang Convertible questions about the Radio and Satellite Radio

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the type of radio to replace my current dash unit. I have the shaker 500 6 disc in dash unit and I really would like an in dash nav/dvd player/sat ready unit that is not one of those motorized ones however one that just fits in there flat and flush. I can't find one anywhere that fits in a 2005 ford mustang. In addition i'm trying to install my xm sat. radio and I need ideas on where I should put my antenna. The person who I bought the car off of had the antenna on the top frame between the winshield and the start of the convertible top. I was wondering if anyone thinks this is a good place for it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

See my write-up here => Pioneer F700BT Install This should answer most of your questions. You can pick up a F90/F900BT unit (w/DVD) on the cheap since the new models are coming out soon.

I went with the Alpine IVA-W505/P1 Nav unit. The sound is great and the graphics are good. The NAV, I would NOT recommend. It is out of date and there are no updates for this unit. I just bought mine and did not know this ahead of time. Do your research ahead of time. I understand Kenwood has a great unit that uses the Garmin nav which is upgradeable. Just check in advance.
