hmm, isnt lightning audio the same company thats selling that fast and the furious kit....anywho, my friend dan has a lightning amp and its pretty sh*tty. has a bad tendancy of shutting down after a few potholes and it over heats pretty quick. id prolly save up a little more money and get something a little better. also, this doesnt have anything to do with lightning audio, but i couldnt help notice ur tweeter location. personally, id like to have them a little closer to my head that way theyre not drowned out to bad by the bass. as for amp placement, that certainly looks like it would fit nice, but its not a very practical location and it looks like the wiring might be an obstuction. anywho, its ur car so u do what u like, but try to stay away from lightning audio....yick

Default Amps

I wouldn't go for something like that. Try justamps.com they have pretty good prices. Also, your amp mount location. It's been awhile since I was heavily involved with sound systems.( though I am returning) Aren't amps built to dissipate heat out and up away from your amp. If you mount it on the hood of your trunk the heat will be trapped causing your amp to overheat frequently. Unless you are buying this amp for a temporary solution do some research first on amps looking at the RMS Power, signal to noise ratio, ohm stability, frequency response, etc. Crutchfield.com gives alot of these ratings and great research material on what to look for. Spend your money wisely.

Dont buy a amp because it looks good, or has a nice lighting to it. Buy it because it works good. Try JL/Alpine/Rockford Fosgate, i had a 800 watt Rockford before it got stolen from my car, it powered two JL subs and worked great.

P.S. I've never heard of lightening and i've been to many good carriers of audio car places.

lightning audio is a part of the cheaper lines of equipment such as legacy and audiovox, etc. the amps have a problem whinning even with a good ground. you can buy quality equipment and if your creative you can do just about anything you want to match your scheme. good luck
