Default very strange speaker problems with 1994 Mustang gt

hello, i have a 94 mustang gt and have some very strange problems with the stereo system. sometimes when i hit a bump or even just turn all my left speakers cut out. they dont come back in until another bump or turn sometime down the road. also every once in a while the left speaker in the back window gets stuck on and does a loud deep hum until the radio is shut off. sometimes turning the whole car off and then on again fixes it but not all time. ive checked the connections to the two amps in the trunk and they seem fine. this is all very confusing for me and i am pretty sure its a short somewhere but where would be a good place to check since it effects the whole left side?

thank you,

also i was told that the previous owners had a sub box in the trunk but was taken out when they sold it.

Check the kick panel at the driver side. It may be a loose connector or a exposed wire in that area.

is it an aftermarket head unit? If so, there is a common problem with the aftermarket radio harness fitting into the stock one. I had the same problem before after I installed a new head unit. Your best bet would be to take out the deck and play with the harness and make sure the speaker harness is clicking when you connect them. What is happening is the harness is coming loose therefore the pins are not touching which means the speakers arent working..
