Angry New Head Unit Power but no Sound?

My new deck powers up but there is no sound!!

I just connected the wires along with the aftermarket wiring harness to Ford's Original wire connectors. My speakers work fine with the factory radio. What could the problem be?

1992 Ford Mustang LX
Deck: Pioneer DEH-P3100UB

Any info would help. Thanks.

i would check to make sure everything is connected correctly. also test the speaker outputs on the deck on a speaker you have laying around to see if it works. do you own a dmm?

You have a wrong connection going into the harness. That harness only works the power/function. The speakers are on a seperate ford harness up in behind. You have to plug the ford speaker harness into the aftermarket/ford harness that you done up. I have an 89 so I had to bypass my amp. I don't think your 92 had the amp sitting in behind the stock radio. I had the same problem
