Now to follow up. I finally got around to installing my Alpine CDA-9887 and changing out my amplifiers, yet again, in my 2006 Mustang GT. I must say, wiring the Shaker 500 subwoofers in series to 2.4 ohms and powering them with 2 channels off of a Lunar L450 has made a HUGE difference. Right now I have them reproducing 80 to 200 Hz and that seems to be the perfect range for them. I could probably get them to reproduce from 64 to 200 Hz, but, I find the door panels vibrate too much when they play lower than 80 Hz.
So as it stands now my JL Audio Stealthbox handles everything from 80 Hz on down, my stock Shaker 500 subs handle everything from 80 to 200 Hz, and my Infinity Kappa 682.7cf 6x8s in the doors handle from 200 Hz on up. I also found a way to tame the Kappas by setting one of the bands on my paragraphic equalizer to 3.2 kHz with a Q of 3 and reducing that band by -2.
