I have had my mustang only 3 weeks and a couple of times the radio has turned off my itsself anyone else have this problem? Or a solution?
What were you doing, just driving along, or were you stopped and just listening? If you were driving along, it may have a loose ground or connector. If you were stopped with the engine off, the key may not have been all the way to the ACC position.
My '07 radio turns itself off too, but only after I have stopped and turned off the ignition, planning to sit and listen for a little bit. The radio will stay on once the ignition is turned off, but only for a couple of minutes unless the key is in the ACC position. I only thought I stopped the key in the ACC position when I actually went a little bit past it. Then the radio shut off after a few minutes, which is what it is supposed to do.

That could be anything that connects the radio to the power source. Wait. Are you sure it is going off, or is it losing the signal from the antenna? Does the CD cut out too?
When I go to the car wash(gotta love urethane paint) I take my antenna off. Then, when I restart the car later at home I go "what the hell is wrong with the radio?" because it sounds completely dead. Maybe you have a problem with your antenna if the CD does not go off.

I've seen shorts in the CD players causing the radio to shut off...I'd take it in for warranty work

yeah I always listen to c.d's the radio just shuts off i press power again it comes on just fine. It has only done it twice but it shouldnt do it at all.
