ok, my car is a 1989 gt convertible, and i just ordered a full speaker system. one problem tho. i dont know how to fully get the rear speaker panels off!!
i was able to undo them enough to sorta bend them a little to make sure they were 6 1/2 inch speakers, but i dont think i can get them out with that little space!

can anyone post a link or something thatll tell me how to fully remove them so i dont havta just start removing screws untill it comes out?

im not familiar with that year but i striped mine out and its underneath. You have to open the trunk and look from under there and do work.

Are you talking about the ones in the rear quarter panels. On my 92 I remove two stainless screws and they'll come off. The side opposite the screws has tabs to ensure its seated. It might be stuck from being on for a long time.
