Default Radio Static Noise When Volume @ 0

I have a new 2010 GT with the Shaker 500 radio. The other day I was sitting in the car with the radio on but the volume off. That's when I noticed a low static noise coming through the speakers. I tried to isolate the noise (front, back, left, right) and found that it was coming from all of the speakers. I turned the volume up to one bar and still could hear it. The noise is present with the car running and turned completely off. Any ideas as to the cause?

most stereos have suspressors to compensate for the engine creating that...not sure why yours is not working...might talk to a car stereo store or the dealer..

Thanks for the advice! I found out after I posted that the issue is occurring in almost all of the 2010s w/o navigation. Supposedly Ford is working on a solution to correct. Its probably going to be a software & hardware fix from what I hear from owners in Calif.
