Default 2002 Mustang GT Mach460 unit whirring noise

I know the Mach 460 is prone to issues apparently, but sofar it's been behaving in my Stang.

However since yesterday when I tried switching CD's (it has the 6 CD changer in there) it proceeded to generate a whirring noise for a bit, before prompting with 'CD Error'. Switching back to the CD that it had produced the same results.

Ejecting CD's, switching CD's to any slot... doesn't matter, it just makes that whirring noise as if moving the CD trayholder up and down is slipping on a sprocket or something... Tapping it doesn't do anything, and the CD door remains shut.

I haven't had it unplugged yet (maybe a power disconnect might solve it) and I haven't had it out yet (to actually open it up and see what's what). Anyone have any idea what this might be?

If I do have to open it up, anyone have a manual or diagram on how to actually open it up handy?

Well... Clamps needed to come off the battery for something else anyway... and the problem went away. So it's working fine again

Solved the problem briefly... it's back again... Solved it once with tapping the front of the radio, but that only temporary fixed it...

Anyone have any further idea's???
