Exclamation Help! Need to get rid of buzzing noise!!

My factory Mach 460 system in my 94 gt convertable hums or buzzes every now an then. It's so bad sometimes you have to cut it off. Any suggestions??? Is there any kind of noise supressor I haven't noticed?? Alternator??

the buzzing is probably caused by the amplifier, being that it is a mach 460 sound system. The buzzing and humming is caused by the power source being too close to the audio out line, OR, from an alternator being faulty and putting out too much noise into the line..........ALSO, since it is a 5.0 H.O., the motor noise is ALWAYS going to be there, i found the same thing out from an audio store. One thing you could do, is to change R.C.A. cables, i went from stock to Hooker audio R.C.A's oh well, if you find out, i'd like to know what is the exact cause of the motor noise.

Did you ever fix the buzzing in the 94 mustang? I have the same.

you can try to find a inline filter that will block certain Db or Freq. of noise.another fix would be to upgrade the voltage in the pre outs usually 2volts is normal, and 7volts is great. I went from 2 -7 and it fixed the humm/buzz that I would get.
