If you have warranty let that take care of it.
If not, then try to find another OEM radio..swap them out...and trouble shoot it like that...if that doesn't fix it...move on.
Often it can be cheaper just to replace stereo items rather than repair, also learn to diagnose some stuff your self because the time you have paid a dealership or stereo shop labor to find your problem...then you have to fix it...which usually costs more.
Especially when you're dealing w/ OEM items...many are available because people replace them w/ aftermarket replacements.
Check Ebay for a replacement for your radio....
If it truly just skips stations and tracks...something is not right...probably not just a short unless you have tampered with some wires.
