how do i take out the stock amps on a 95 mach 460

how do i take out the amps on a 1995 mach 460 system?? I just got new speakers for the rear of my car (i'll eventually get new speakers all around) but the amps arent powerful enough to power the speakers. I see there are 2 plugs that go to the amp, one on the front n one on the rear,i was thinking maybe cuttin the plugs off of these wires and splicing them together, but im not sure that would be very good for the system. please help me

Why dont you just unhook them and re-wire the speakers ?

All you have to do to remove an amp is to take out the wires from the amp that run to the battery, and to the speakers, and the deck. All you have to do to swap amps is mark your wires. Remote, speaker, power...etc Just mark them if youve never done it before. Its the simplest thing you could do.
