Post Auto door lock question

I have an 03 Mustang coupe with the five speed transmission. Can the door locks be programmed to automatically lock when the car starts to move like on the 03 Explorer? I heard the 5 speed comes from the factory with this option disabled. If this is true, how to you enable it? Thanks!

Does your car have the same factory security as the Ford Explorer? Also are you talking about a 5 speed Explorer.

Think abou this too...you have a 5 spd...and lets say it begins to roll and you are within walking distance to stop it...would not that suck if your security decides to put the lock down on your doors....while it is rolling. Considering they were already locked if you parked the vehicle.
Its all about practicality.

Question

I have no idea what type of security system is in each, other than they are the Ford Factory equipment. I have owned several Fords over the years, My 99 F-150's door lock automatically lock when you put it in gear and started to drive off, we had an 02 Escape that had power locks, but the auto lock function was not available. Our 03 Explorer automatically locks when you put it in gear and drive off. I had heard that the Mustang has this function as well, but that it enabled from the factory on the automatic transmission model only, but it can be enabled on the five speed.

I have searched the internet and found instructions on how to enable and disable this function on the F-150 and Expedition, and tried the same procedure on the Mustang but it doesn't work. I was just wondering if anyone out there knew how to enable or disable this function, if it's even available on the Mustang.

As for the vehicle rolling off and the doors locking, I would hope this would only operate if the car was running, and I try not to leave my Mustang unattended with the engine running, the tansmission in neutral, and the parking brake off!
