Question Just Need To Install A CD Player

Sigh.... been all over the web and I can't find anywhere to find detailed instructions on how to put a cd player in my car. Found this website and thought you guys would know.
I just got an old car; it's got a radio without a tape deck or a cd player (the original radio). I thought I'd put in this old cd player I have, just so I can listen to cds in my car, but I have no clue how to do it!
A few years ago I had one installed on my other car and I think I had to buy something to mount (?) it in??? I'm not really sure what it's called.... but do I need to buy some additional parts? I have pretty much no money and I'm not planning on having the car terribly long so, any suggestions?
The CD Player is a KOSS 40 WATT. Two years ago when I got my other one installed they said this thing was horribly old, but I figure it will work.
You guys seem to know everything about this stuff, got any suggestions? Any good links with instructions? Do you know which wires connect to what? Afraid I'm one of those sad people without a clue about cars, so please remember this when giving instructions.

Thanks a lot!

Ok , go to wal mart or best buy or anywhere that sells car stereos and buy an adapter plug for your car . Then you simply unplug the factory radio and plug in your adapter . The wires coming out of the adapter will be the exact same color as the ones coming out of the cd player . Just connect them by color . like red to red black to black yellow to yellow and so on

As long as you get the plug adapter then it will be simple

Thanks Alot!
Ummmm, but I was also wondering.... how do I get it out of the dashboard without hurting anything? And, when I stick it back in will it just go back in?
Also, how much does an adapter cost?

I got all my stuff and pulled out my stero. I know the wires match up by color but do they go positive with positive negative with negative? Also, do I just twill one wire around the other? They don't seem to hold very well that way and I'd be afraid it'd come off after I put the radio in.

Also, I got an adapter, do I just snap the adapter on top of the other one and then connect the wires from the radio into the new adater?

Does the mounter go on first or after the wires?

The ford uses a special tool to remove a factory radio . You can see 4 small holes in the front of the radio on the sides . You can cut 4 pieces off from a coat hanger about 5" long and stick them into the holes and then the radio just pulls out as for wiring it , yes just put the same color to the same color . Also you need to tape the wires up with electrical tape or crimp them with crimp style connectors and a crimper . You take the cd player mounting bracket with all the goofy looking triangles in it and put that in after you wire up the clips and then just pop the cd player into the hole

Yea the Radio Removal tools run about 5 bucks and you can buy them at Pepboys, as far as the harness and stuff go, circuit city sells them for any car, and i don't think your car needs a kit for it to fit, i am almost 95% positive, but IF it did there is instructions inside on how to mount it. Basically remove your old one with the radio removal tools then plug the harness into the one hanging, then the other end into the radio, there should be a antenna plug that goes into the back of it as well. If the radio you are putting in is a after market one the Din Cage goes in and you press the things down around it to keep it sturdy in place.
