Default Mach 460 system (Bass-less)

Help,

My '96 mustang GT convert, Mach 460 system lossed bass!
It slowly went out over 2 weeks! I would just power on
& off the stereo and the bass would come back. But now
on bass is totally gone! The mach 460 worked good for
the 3 years since I had the car until now.

I checked the fuses, all good. I do believe it's the rear
amps that handle the bass, but which one? Is there something
I could do or check to troubleshoot this? I thought bass was
mono (1 amp) and there are 2 rears and one front I believe.

Could it be wiring from the front amp sending a signal
to the rear? This is a stock system (no mods) and I do
not what to spend alot of money upgrading, just my bass
back. Are there any replacement amps out there to be used
with he mach 460? Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated!

Theres three amps in the back deck. The one in the center is for your "sound speakers" and the two on either side power the woofers directly above them. Unfortunately, these boxes are pretty well seal up. I had this happen on my explorer with the JBL system and it was the lead to the speaker itself that wasn't working properly. If you can get to the speakers, check the leads and that could be another spot to look. Is sound coming out of the back speakers at all? That can be another point to trouble shoot...whether its the entire speaker or just the bass of the system.
