Default pioneer deh-6500 install?

I've finally cut the plug to get my speakers connected, being they were the two plugs to the right of all that other junk. I also removed the factory amp for placement of my inverter.
Okay, on the wiring kit theres a wire for illumination and fader or dimmer, I was wondering if I can just twist this wire with the illumination wire from the deck also. Putting the illumination wire and the dimmer wire to the stereo illumination? Or how do I hook this up? 6 hours to figure out which wires to use for the speaker, fotuneatly I only cut one factory plug from the factory cassete wires. Damn Best Buy, and I didn't even ask for the help when I bought the wiring kit!!!!rants and raves,,,,

Can anyone help me? I thought it to be a simple question, as to where to hook up the dimmer wire. I'm sitting in the garage diagramming the rest of my installation of amp 4 6x8s 4 ways and before I install the inverter I'd like to get an answer if I can hook the dimmer switch from the 1998 ford installation wiring kit to the illumination wire on the HU stereo wire to make it dim with the rest.
hmm....... I've been searching, I'm not looking for handouts... sorta

Default Late but, hope it helps

When you install an aftermarket deck into a car there is no dimmer and illumination on them. Those wires are not used. The afermarker decks (99.9% of them) has the backlight on all the time. Those that I have seen with dimmers and such are controlled by the deck.

As a thought, you could use the dimmer/illumination wire to run as a remote on for a neon or something to light up you dash in the area of the radio. Just remeber that when you turn the dash lights down you might just turn the neon off!
