Are they any good. I found a clarion vrx745vd for $848 and was w ondering if that is a good deal for a screen like that?

I would say it depends on what you want. I shopped for a screen for a while and Clarion is priced at the low end, but I could see a diffence in the picture. Really though, it's a car, not your living room, so do you need to spend 3x as much for a picture that is only slightly better? Alpine has a kick butt line of screens, even touch screen controls, but at $1500+ it's high priced...do you really plan on watching it, and not just showing out?

PS. If you are getting the dash unit with a cd player, remember you'll need one that plays DVD or you'll be buying a seperate DVD player. Most head unit don't play DVD, so the price will be lower. Hope this helps...

Yes I know that. This unit is an all in one design here are the stats and a link to clarion. By the way I got the screen for $991 including shipping brand new from an on-line retailer. However hookedontronics.com is selling it brand new for 865 including shipping.
