My new Ranger stereo sounds better than the Mustang Radio! My new '04 Ranger has the same radio setup as the Mustang. They both have the factory AM/FM, CD, cassette combination unit. The Mustang probably is Visteon and the Ranger is Pioneer (new for '04). They both have 4 speakers. The Ranger unit clearly is a better sounding unit with a better tuner. This is embarassing! Since this unit in the Mustang is a much simpler setup than the Mach radios, would it be easier to put a good quality unit in the car? I know that any replacements on Mach cars can be problematic.
Any recommendations on speakers and head unit? I would like to keep the 3 way capability, if possible.
Thanks.
