Default Power Hatch

Not sure if this is the right form to post this too, but it is the one that made the mose sence to me.

I just bought the power lock and selinoid for my rear hatch. The car (86 GT) orginally came with the power release option, but was removed when the previous ower had to replace the hatch. I do not have a wire harness for the new powered release, and I am unable to see if there is a harness in the hatch for it. Anyone have any ideas on how to hook it up to the button to get it to work again?

Thank You for any help you may provide.
Russel

I just went out to the car this morning to look into the wiring for this. I uncovered the wires where the previous owner had retro-fitted them for the new hatch. I found the wires are all there as far as matching what came from the car body and going into the hatch. I looked into the Haynes manual for my cars wiring. I am not sure but this is what I think is the guide:

Black (10g): Ground
Brown (18g): Unknown
Grey (10g): 3RD Brake Light
Purple/Yellow (18g): Power Trunk
Red/Light Green (18g): Unknown

If you know what the Brown and Red/Light Green wires are, please let me know!

Thank you,
Russell

It might be the wires for the trunk light and the plate lights????? The wires are different on mine but that would be my guess :thumbsup
