I know I am not the 1st guy to post this question on the forum, but hoping some new "intel" has come along. I am having a problem with my mach 460 system. After parking my 01 Gt in the garage at night, the next morning I have no bass with my system. Everything is straight factory. I have looked at all my fuses and checked the wiring to the amps in the rear and the in the kick panel.....all looks good. Please advise. Thanks, Chris Wright, USAF.
I really can't help you out. Hopefully someone can chime in with some helpful solutions. Is any sound coming out of the subs at all? Maybe check the back of the head unit to see if some wires got pulled out? I'm just guessing though.

not even static out of the subs. I am about as knowledgeable as a 13 yr old girl when it comes to audio equipment, so will probably end up paying full retail at the dealership to get it fixed. thanks for the reply though. I will post what they told me unless someone post what the problem is this week.
this happened in my old gt. one of the plugs going into the amps is loose in the trunk. turn on the radio and then just pop the trunk and reach up there and push the plugs in. i bet thats all that it is. let us know. hope this helps.

I actually took my amps out last week to see if there was a fuse inside that might have blown. I put them back in and made sure everything was plug in good and still nothing. I went back out there when I read your post just to double check, but no luck. I wish it was that simple. Im getting tired of listening to AM radio!! Thanks for the reply though.
did you know there is an amp behind the radio too? im assuming you have seen the www.flemworld.com site. there's a lot of info on there. it may be that your amps are blown.i believe the bass amps are the two mounted in the trunk. if thats the case you can buy them on ebay for around $10!

I think you might be right about the amps being blown. The service department at the dealership said that 2 may have blown and the sound would still be about the same until the 3rd and final one blows. If thats the case, then ford is putting some cheap amps in their stangs. I am gonna spend my saturday checking the local pick & pulls, but if that doesnt work I will definatley go the ebay route. The dealership sell those cheap-ass amps for $200 a peice!! will keep you posted. Thanks!

Well, Ive got good news.....problem solved. I traded my stang. Now driving a 02 Tahoe. My mustang had 78K on the odometer and it needed brakes, sepentine belt fell off last week, and the AC was starting to act up. Stangs are fun, but not when they start to nickle and dime you. Thanks for all your efforts though. Chris
awww, no more stang? you just got here. do you plan on purchasing another, trust me (us) it gets addicting. try it 1 more time.

I agree try one more time. Those problems are pretty minor, unless there's other problems you did not state...frustrating none the less. Did you buy your GT new or used? I can see your point since your GT is an '01, but there's nothing better than the Stang community and commrodere. Stick around anyways :thumbup

Damn, I didnt think you guys would take it so hard Actually that was my 2nd stang. I had a 92 GT that would have smoked my 01. I swear that car scared me a few times with its power. I bought my 01 brand new. Alot has changed since then though.....bought a house and got a dog (boxer), so it was getting to be a pain in the ass to try and make that car suffice. I guess thats what getting old is all about. I guess later in life when I have my mid-life crisis.....I might be able to afford a Corba so i can drop the top and cruise around on sundays with my the sun glaring off my bald head You guys are cool. Thanks again for the replys. Chris
