Default Help Desperate

I have a 1996 mustang cobra. I am installing 3 guages. Air fuel, water temp, oil pressure. Im wiring them straight into the computer.I was wondering if anyone could tell me the color of the wires i need to use. I know the air fuel wire is purple. Does anyone no the color of the water temp and the oil pressure. Or can anyone tell me how to find a wiring diagram that can tell me the colors of the wires. Thanks for any help.

For one, you dont need to wire stuff into the main EEC harness, and second, water temp gauge sender and oil sender are on the engine, not the EEC harness.

The TEMP SENSOR and TEMP GAUGES are not related.

The stock water temp sending unit is right under the drivers side fuel rail.
Replace the sender with your new gauge sender and run the wiring to your new gauge. This will leave the stock gauge inoperative. You could install a "T" adapter and have both working, but this might give inaccurate readings.
Some people will install on the bypass hose to the right of the sender.

The Oil pressure gauge sending unit is behind/right the oil filter, it is hard to get to. And the same applies here as is the case of the water temp gauge. You can place the new sender there and leave the stock gauge inoperative but in this case a "T" works ok, you will get correct readings on both gauges.

As for the A/F meter, you need to connect it to the O2 sensor harness (or EEC harness) but it is better to do this than risk a short doing it directly to the EEC Harness. One wire goes to the O2 sensor signal wire, the other to a good engine ground plus the one that goes to the ignition (switched) and lighting (12v).

Sorry i dont have pics..maybe a Cobra owner might help.
