I receintly took out the radio in my 1970 Fastback and when I reinstalled it I can't get it to turn on. Here's the tricky part, I have the power supply plugged into the radio and I know that the unit is getting power because the clock works on the display of the radio. The problem is that when I switch the radio to on, it does not power up. Is this a wiring problem or is the radio unit shot?

All I can say is make sure that your ACC, pos, and ground wires are all hooked up tightly and it should work, if not, you've probably got a problem in your radio.

Also make sure you have both power wires connected - constant and switched.

there are definitely two power wires. the clock needs a constantly on power wire. the radio uses a normally off (switched with key) power wire. sounds like you missed a wire.
