Question Power Drain

I recently took my 1997 GT W/Mach 460 to the shop to investigate a power drain on my battery. The mechanic told me that they showed a power drain from the radio and interior lights. They recommended that I take it to dealership because of the radio problem. My question would it just be cheaper to replace the radio? The battery goes dead after the cars is not started for a week.

Can any one help?

It'd be worth a try, but most likely the power drain is coming from the 12V wires inside the car and not the radio itself. Theres probably a short or you have a positive and a negative touching each other. etc. etc.
