Default Replacing Power Window Motor

1988 Mustang Convertible

My driver's side power window motor died; I'm picking up a brand new replacement today and will be switching it out. Are there any problems that I may come across while doing this?

I've heard that these motors are pop riveted in - is there enough space in there to get a drill in and drill out the rivets? Do I need to remove the window (ie: is it going to fall out or anything?)?

Is there anything I should know before doing this?

repost this in 5.0L Tech, or if a moderator sees this, please move it there, he will never get a response in this area. If I knew I would tell you. I do know they are riveted in, but i dont kno0w how people go about getting them out. The guys in 5.0L tech will though.

Cool

I just had 2 motors on my vert go out. The fix is easier than you think. In the motors are urathane bushiings that break down with age , the kit costs about 6.00 and takes all of 5 minutes to clean, regrease and install. Save your money go on Ebay and look up partsways
