Remote Entry System

Is it possible to add remote entry to my 1997 GT convertible wuthout a lot of rewiring? I have power door and trunk locks but no remote entry. If so, what do I need to purchase?

nope it will be a lot of spilicing and soldering. It took me nearly 5 hours on my 88 GT. Can be done though. If you do it buy some extra wire, because they wont give you enough. I got mine at Circuit City. It works pretty well.

Thanks Stangboy, for your comments. I think I will just use the key to enter my locked car. I did ask the local Ford dealer (Parts dept) about this and they said it would be very costly.

I got mine done at Circuit City for about $200. Its a DEI Python alarm/keyless entry. Its been so nice having keyless entry. I went for 12 years with putting the key in the door lock
