I just put in a new Sony CDX-F7715X CD/MP3 player in my Mach 460, '96 Mustang. It makes a Huge difference in sound quality and volume, even with the rest of the system being factory stuff. With the required adapter, there were about 20 wires to connect but I figured it out.

Anyway, I think I blew out the driver side tweeter. I dont get any sound from it at all and the driver side midrange in the door does make some bass sounds, no voice, but that about it. The passanger sides and both rears sound fine.

Can anyone tell me what size the tweeters are ( both depth and diameter)for replacement/upgrade purposes or worst case, where can I get another Ford Factory replacement tweeter?

I really want to rip out that cheap, weak front amp but thats another project.

There are replacement speakers on ebay, that would be cheapest if you want factory. I am not sure if there is a tweeter that will fit the exact same way the ford one does. I know a friend just put some compnents in there with 1/2" tweeters in his pods and you would never know.
