Default three chirp nightmares

I've got an '05 6cyl Mustang that chirps 3 times when I set the alarm and nothing is open. The paperwork that came w/ it says Audiovox Pursuit Model PRO 9644a (three button) but the keyfob I actually got (four button) says UltraGuard Security Systems.
The alarm will arm, but I get three chirps which is supposed to mean something is still unlocked. On occasion I get just the one chirp, but can never tell what the reason was that I got one chirp not three.
The documentation says I should get one chirp if it is armed correctly.
Any help would be great.

Here is what I would do the next time when you set the alarm and it chirps three times see if the interior light is on. this maybe what is causing the three chirps because the alarm thinks that one of the doors are open. then after you set and it chirps once see if the interior lights are out. more than likely you are not waiting long enough for the interior light to time out before you arm it.
I hope this helps!
